In late 2004 it dawned on us, Canada doesn’t have an Arsenal Supporters club of its own! And thus the venture to create Arsenal Canada began.

After a few inquiries with Arsenal Supporters Club liaison we found that on at least 3 separate instances a Canadian supporters club initiative had been launched, but in each case it had failed due to lack of interest. With the ‘Invincibles’ season just recently behind us, surely there must be enough Gooners in this country!

The call was answered and as of May 2005, Arsenal Canada was officially founded. Launched in August 2005, just in time for the 2005-’06 campaign, Arsenal Canada is sure to be right behind the Gunners for years to come. With a bright future ahead of us, for both the club and the supporters, we look to send off Highbury in magnificent fashion and usher in the new era next fall with the unveiling of Emirates Stadium.

This not-for-profit supporters group is committed to bringing you as close to the action as possible. We will do our best to create a community of Arsenal supporters across the land to share stories, songs and support for the club we love.

This is our goal:

• Have the club available to supporters across the nation by setting up community branches operating under the Arsenal Canada name.
• Hold an Annual General meeting – open to all supporters
• Have as many social events as we can to help create the type of festive environment we all can enjoy.
• In the future, we also hope to arrange for trips to North London and possibly other fixtures to show our support!
