Arsenal Canada has agreed with the rest of the world and awarded Thomas Vermaelen with the player of the month award for the month of September. Vermaelen has won the award two months in a row from Arsenal Canada as well as from Arsenal. Congratulations to him! Long may it continue!

The league is well under way for the Arsenal and so are the cup competitions. We comfortable qualified for the group stages of the Champions League and just a few days after learning who are in our group, we now know that we will face West Bromwich Albion in the third round of the Carling Cup.
The game is scheduled to be played in the week of September 21st. Stay tuned for the confirmed date and ticket application deadline.

Arsenal Canada would like to welcome our newest player, Thomas Vermaelen.
The former captain of Ajax joins us just in time for pre-season training and is a welcome addition to our back line. According to the official site he can play in the centre of defence and in the (already crowded) left back position. Visit the official site for more information here.

1. Pre season tickets for sale on a match by match basis for all home games. These tickets will be sold to the public after this date. Tickets are first come first served. All tickets are located in shared Executive Boxes (you can hire a whole box if you wish). Please note that this promotion ends on the 8th of July.
2. England Legends Dinner and Christmas Legends Dinner offers. I must admit, I’m not aware of these festivities but here are the offers anyway:

The long summer months devoid of Arsenal will come to an end on the 15th of August at Everton’s Goodison Park. Our first home game follows three days later against Bolton on the 18th. The most interesting and nail biting time for us will be from January 30th to February 9th when we face United, Chelsea and Liverpool in a row. Apart from that, we hope to give a scare to Tottenham on Halloween which should be an interesting date for all involved.

Time 10:45 for match kick off. It may not be the Arsenal Match (although we should have confirmation in the next few days from the networks which match will be on.)
The AGM itself will start in the second floor room about 15 minutes after the match. Approximately 13:00.
Prizes for all 2008-2009 competitions to be awarded and announced at the AGM and will follow with a post on Monday and a PM to the winners if they are no present.
